You're lucky to start from a great foundation. I have years of experience coaching, training, and developing leaders and team members at all organizational levels. From management newbs, to senior executives.
Bad boss? Game-playing coworkers? Culture that doesn't respect boundaries? Let's help you make a response plan. Or maybe you're enjoying your job but were recently promoted and would like support to lead your team most effectively.
Big ambitions benefit from well-planned and deliberate actions. Career coaching helps you uncover your short and long term career goals, identify your strengths and weaknesses, develop a plan for achieving those goals, improve your job search skills, and gain confidence in your ability to succeed.
Compared to one's primary career, people approaching retirement (or already retired) typically have different priorities with respect to working. Redefining "career" later in life often starts with examining one's values and purpose through a new lens. While the process of coaching remains similar, the focus and goals of retirement career coaching may differ.
Yes, I offer online video coaching. Alternatively we can simply phone, but I find it works better for both of us if we can see each other. Facial expressions add much to any conversation. When you make an appointment, your confirmation will include my MS Teams link.
Yes. While I am a Houston career coach serving clients virtually anywhere, I'm always available to work with Houston career coaching clients in mutually agreed upon meeting places.
Sure! Most coaches market their services to a niche based on their own experiences, preferences, and trends in what their clients ask for. That said, coaching is not about the coach imparting wisdom or recommendations. Coaching supports the client to solve their own challenges and meet their own goals. You provide the "know how" in any authentic coaching conversation. So if you like the way we work together, I'm happy to provide coaching for your other non-work objectives.
While all of these disciplines leverage some similar techniques rooted in evidence-based psychology, they serve different purposes. Therapy and counseling are medical in nature and are applied to diagnose and treat mental health conditions, whether minor or severe, which are frequently rooted in past trauma. Coaching is non-medical, non-diagnostic, and focuses primarily on your present and future. Coaching helps you clarify what you want, then supports you to navigate your own path to results. If you are coping with mental health challenges such as ongoing or recurring anxiety or depression, you should first seek medical advice or a mental/behavioral health provider.
As a career coach, I help clients discover what they want (and don't want) from work. I assist clients at any stage, whether exploring potential career choices with assessments, helping you get hired into the job you want, or considering job offers from a functional standpoint. (For the fine print, you should absolutely check with a legal professional.)
Uncertainty is very common! Figuring that out is a typical part of the coaching process,. Sometimes clients begin coaching wanting to work on one goal, and then realize quickly they want to pursue something better or different than what they originally intended.
Absolutely! I offer a $47 introductory-priced session. Even if either of us decide we are not a coaching fit, I am committed to you leaving the session feeling less stuck. If you decide to purchase a coaching package or subscription after your introductory session, I will deduct this $47 from this first purchase.
Great question. Every client is different, and needs evolve as the coaching process begins. I'm not interested in overselling you. Unfortunately you will find less-than-honest people offering a "guarantee" of the job of your dreams in 90 days. Nobody can promise this, and I assure you that provider is not refunding the thousands you paid up front if your job hunt isn't successful.
Yes. Paperbell is software which enables your client experience. Once you log into Paperbell you may purchase coaching, book appointments, reschedule or cancel appointments.
You won't need to prepare anything for your free Discovery Talk. If we decide we want to work together, I will send you a questionnaire to collect more details on your goals. I will also provide you a new client orientation packet which answers many of the questions you may have before we get started, allowing us to keep your session time on working toward your accomplishments.
Yes! As a UK-based company, Paperbell is required to be compliant with GDPR, a European privacy standard which is far stricter than any regulations in the states. Payments for my coaching services in Paperbell are handled by a 3rd party provider called "Stripe." Stripe's Privacy Policy is available for your review.
It's important that you and I have a shared understanding about what coaching is, what it is not, and what we can expect from each other before, during, and after our work. I also have a coaching orientation document that I will share on our first meeting, or beforehand, which goes a little deeper into the practicalities. Please don't be shy about asking anything on your mind regarding these details.
Great question. Each transaction on Paperbell is considered a purchase of a "package." Each package links to a correlating contract. A package can be one session, or multiple sessions.
